Några av er kanske kommer ihåg min vän Charlie från Wales som rapporterade på min KiF blogg då den fanns en gång i tiden. Nu har han gjort en omstart och tydligen lyckats. Han mailade mig denna rapport och jag bad honom skicka den till "Diet Doctor". Här är den:

"Hi

At the end of today I will have been following an LCHF diet for two weeks. I have strictly followed the beginners guide. I have only eaten Meat, fish, above ground vegetables, cream and cheeses. I have drunk only water, coffee and wine.
Although I followed a fairly low carbohydrate diet before and took regular exercise, the effects of LCHF have been very dramatic even after only such a short time.

I have the following to report………

Positives

Have lost weight, not much overweight before but now same at nearly 50yr as 30yr. (11st.8lbs- 5ft 9 tall). Suspect I will lose more.
Sleep better
Feel less stressed
Feel happy (was happy before but some how feel more happy)
Eat less
Eat less often
Less tired
Less hungry (can go from 20.30hrs to 13.00 hrs following day without eating and not have bad hunger pangs).
Enjoy shopping more
Enjoy cooking more
Enjoy eating more
Don't want to go to restaurants
Don't want take away food
Drink real coffee instead of instant
Eat lots of fish (canned)
Enjoy foods I never really enjoyed before ( eg.tomatoes)
Saving money on groceries
Feel sense of enlightenment
Want less alcohol (drank wine most evenings, now often happy with fizzy water instead)

Negatives

Felt it necessary to reduce gym visits for the moment,although still walk to work (3 miles each way) and cycle to supermarket.
More thirsty
Less tolerance for alcohol (maybe this will turn out to be a positive and not a negative).
Regularly criticized by some people for eating saturated fat
Regularly criticized by same people for looking too thin
Feel superior to other people because I feel sense of enlightenment.

Don't know if it can get any better than this, I will review after one month.
